The publication of this guide by the Association of Art Galleries of Madrid -Arte Madrid-, published with the collaboration of the Community of Madrid, is an instrument of support for the work of art galleries, which act as catalysts for contemporary art , as well as a useful aid for people interested in learning about the most innovative cultural offerings in our region.

The guide states that in Centro there are 10 galleries, among which are Blanca Berlin, Twin Gallery, Elba Benítez or Espacio Valverde. Salesas has ten others like Max Estrella, Yusto Gines or Juana de Aizpuru. Those of Helga de Alvear, Rosa Santos or Marta Cervera are in Lavapiés, which can accommodate eleven.

For its part, Letras hosts a total of seven such as Blanca Soto Arte and José de la Mano; Salamanca has six (We Collect and Fernando Pradilla, among others), and Chamberí houses eight, such as Elvira González, Cayón or Daniel Cuevas. Three others are located in the Carabanchel district: Benveniste Contemporary, Sabrina Amrani and Veta by Fer Francés, while Adora Calvo in Las Rozas de Madrid.

In addition to the essential work they do, Madrid has the Dos de Mayo Art Center Museum (CA2M) , in Móstoles, which houses the contemporary art collection of Madrid, and that of the Arco Foundation. It also highlights the Sala Alcalá 31 , in the capital, with free access.

For its part, the Sala de Arte Joven , also in Madrid, is a reference space for contemporary artistic creation that has established itself as a platform for creation, reflection and debate on emerging art. Lastly, the Canal de Isabel II Room It is characterized by photography and image.
