EL ALMA AL AIRE. THE MUSICAL FEATURING SONGS BY ALEJANDRO SANZ
Who could ever forget the songs that have left their mark on us? The ones that accompany us, make us smile, move us and remind us who we were and who we want to be. Songs that have brought generations together and speak to us of dreams, roots, freedom, love…
And so El Alma al Aire was born: an ambitious musical production celebrating the lasting impression Alejandro Sanz's universe has made on audiences. A unique experience in Madrid that transforms iconic songs from his career—such as El Alma al Aire, Cuando nadie me ve, Amiga mía, Corazón partío and No es lo mismo—into a luminous, moving story full of life.
Produced by Stage Entertainment España, responsible for major hits such as The Lion King, Anastasia, TINA and Aladdin, this is the first original musical mega-production developed entirely by the company in Spain. With the support of Alejandro Sanz himself and a book by two-time MAX Award winner Álvaro Tato, the musical blends everyday life with magical realism and invites us to leave our worries behind and reconnect with what truly matters: living.
El Alma al Aire takes us to a small fishing village, where characters from different generations face decisions that will shape their destinies. This ensemble story, brimming with life and tangled emotions, follows Ale, a gifted young musician who, along with his family and his friend Bruno, sees the community's balance disrupted by Alma's arrival. Alma is a Madrid real estate developer who settles in the village with her two daughters.
Against a spectacular set featuring cutting-edge elements, Alejandro Sanz's songs come to life in live performances, inviting us to celebrate the importance of roots, friendship, music…and the almost magical power of the southern wind.
El Alma al Aire is much more than a musical: it’s an experience to enjoy and share—and one that will leave you feeling recharged when you walk out of the theater.
Let the music carry you away and get ready to fly!
