DRAO Producciones and Compañía Clásicos de la Lírica present a new edition of The Magic of Zarzuela, a season that takes a step forward and settles in the emblematic Teatro Albéniz in Madrid.
Under the motto "The usual emotion, now at the Albéniz", this project continues its journey, bringing the most vivid essence of our lyrical genre closer to the public, bringing together zarzuela, theater and musical lovers in a varied program that will bring light and color this summer in the capital of Madrid.
Three great titles from the Madrid repertoire take the stage to make the city beat again: the freshness and bustle of summer Madrid in Water, Sugar-candies and Brandy, the traditional and contemporary character of La del manojo de rosas, and the vibrant spontaneity of the corrala in La Revoltosa.
On stage, a company of more than 60 artists, accompanied by a live orchestra, restore zarzuela to its most authentic dimension: music, theater, and life fused into a complete scenic experience. An invitation to reconnect with our roots through the usual emotion... In a new setting.
The Magic of Zarzuela is not only aimed at zarzuela lovers but is also presented as a quality cultural option for those visiting the capital this summer. A show for everyone that seeks to contribute to the recognition of this genre as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
